Congratulations on stumbling across my Photography blog. Whilst I run a fairly up to date website at http://KathrynDawson.co.uk I use this space to upload on a more regular basis, and to take a rest from the ‘work’ element of Photography to introduce a little ‘fun.’

As for the rest of my life – I’m work for the County Council doing something completely unrelated to photography! In my free time, I shoot at Weddings, events and any other random occasions that come up. I’ve had my work and words used to publish articles in the Andover Advertiser and hope to build up my Photography and Writing skills to one day (wishful thinking) have a career focused entirely on the subjects. I studied my first degree with the Open University (Criminology and Social policy) and am just about to embark on another degree with the Open University – funded by my employer to become a qualified Social Worker!

Photography for me is an escape, and for the past few years as well as use it to get out and create I’ve used it personally to mend some broken things.

I spent 2012 using this blog to do the 365 Challenge. In 2013 I eased off – I did it again in 2014 and have had a couple of years of general blogging since then!

  Thanks very much for the comment, I’m flattered he’s chosen me as inspiration.
  I use a Sony D-SLR A57 along with a 18 – 55mm lens, 70 – 300mm lens and a macro lens. I also occasionally use a Cybershot (digital point and shoot) as this allows for a better capture of things such as sunsets. When desperate, the trusty iPhone can occasionally be used too.
