I finally got some of the Autumn captures that I’ve been hoping to get for a while. With the internet up and running comes my ability to share said photos a bit more as the upload speeds are incredible! The recent rain and wind had stripped everything back and sadly we were a little too late for the carpet of Autumn leaves. However there were a few of the beautiful Autumnal colours that we’re lucky to have at this time of year.

5 6 7It was pretty nice to be there again after having been so busy and not having the time to enjoy the peacefulness – the sound of the river and the beautiful reflections in the lakes.

On the way home we passed a new Autumn driveway. Those who have been following my blog since 2012 will know that I love photographing a specific Autumn driveway near where I live. Well there’s another one now!

This one is equally (if not more – sorry regular driveway!) beautiful and it was stunning in the sunlight when we passed today. Queue the car being reversed hurriedly courtesy of William and me hanging out the window to take some quick snaps.

I found myself realising how lucky we are that amidst the mud, closed roads, dust, construction traffic, endless noise and builders rubbish – on our doorstep we also have the most magnificent views and neighbours…
