“The love of a family is the greatest gift.”

Firstly, it’s not only Christmas Day but also my wonderful Dad’s Birthday – so a huge Happy Birthday to him! Christmas day was beautiful, crisp, cold with a little bit of sunshine and the hint of snow perhaps tomorrow although we don’t quite believe that! The presents…well, where do I start? They were incredible. Huge amounts of genorosity all around with some amazing gifts – too many to start naming them all but I’m sure many will feature in future blog entries! Family time is so precious, and I loved every second (apart from the times when my back was hurting so much I couldn’t concentrate!) Falling down the stairs before Christmas is -not- the done thing. The food, the decorations, the company, the time…everything was spot on and just reminded me how much I love life and how lucky I am. Now we can all relax, chillout and enjoy each other’s company and the new bits and pieces we’ve been given… of which there are many!2 3 5 6 11 17 30

“He who has not Christmas in his heart will never find it under a tree.”
― Roy L. Smith

We went out for our annual christmas gathering with the girls (and now boys too!) so Maisy was entertained by my parents (and Buddy) for the evening. She’s thoroughly exhausted and I didn’t even think about photos until we were about to leave after picking her up – so I snapped a brief photo of my parents very beautifully decorated dining room… I love it! More ‘official camera’ photos of the decs will be appearing in the next few weeks of course!
