“It’s all in the view.”

I wrote about this view a while ago after the storms wrecked one of the iconic landmarks. Check out the before photographs here.  So I revisited today to see how the hut replacement was progressing, sadly it’s not 100% there yet but at least the foundations have been laid. Maybe it’ll even be completed before our house ;) at the rate that the builders are currently going! It was still nice to revisit though, I forgot how relaxing this place is… Check out the full article that I’ve written here.

A 365 blog wouldn’t be the same without a trip or two to the Bunnies (not the animals!) Yet I was very surprised when I drove past there to have a brief lunch break today. The historic landmark that makes The Bunnies what they are, with the beautiful views…was gone! Below is an older photograph that I took, showing the Bunnies how they used to look…with the caution tape present to indicate something was wrong already…

3But today, it was completely different. It seems like the old fishing hut had finally given in to the wind and rain beating down upon it at the weekend…

1wWhen I went past on my way to work, they were removing it. They didn’t seem to mind me stopping to take a few snaps. The water was very high, it’s easy to see how the hut has become damaged…


2wThen later on, at the end of the day, it was gone completely. I really hope they replace it because the area won’t be the same again. The weather was variable throughout the day, throwing up opportunities for rainbows – and beautiful sunsets…
