Day 164: Indoor sun-bathing

For a dog that spent his early days outside, Buddy did not want to enjoy the sunshine today! Instead he flung himself around in various poses and collected twigs, pebbles and dead moths when he felt like it. It got really warm – at one point when I was out and about at work, the temperature hit 27 degrees c. Warm. Very warm. But lovely all the same. Unless you’re a black fluffy dog…

Day 141: House in Progress

I persuaded my parents to do a brief drive by of the house’s progress this evening after we popped out for dinner. There wasn’t much to see, mainly we knew this because we were called yesterday to say the roofing contractors had let the builders down and they were therefore trying to source someone else. So progress has halted on the house somewhat, although it had seemed to pick up a bit today – and the road leading up to it was freshly laid this afternoon.

I suppose the most reassuring thing was the sunset…it was right outside the front door, proving that the Sunsets I’ll be losing by moving out of home, will still be there when we move in to our first house!  Huge relief. ;)
