“March came in that winter like the meekest and mildest of lambs, bringing days that were crisp and golden and tingling, each followed by a frosty pink twilight which gradually lost itself in an elfland of moonshine.”
― L.M. Montgomery
Before we know it, March is upon us. Time has flown and life has been so busy that I didn’t get to post the blog on Sunday. I also only have one photograph taken in the past week – which is a bit different! We finally had the last major works on the house completed yesterday (Monday) and the weekend was spent mostly packing up the house in preparation. We have had the carpet underlay replaced throughout which is more upheaval than I ever care to repeat but was worth it. We basically bought the best quality underlay when we bought the house, as an optional extra. We established back last November when they took up the carpets to level the floor, that they had kindly supplied us with the cheapest underlay. Subsequently, yesterday it was all resolved after a very long battle! Other works were done too and we did our own slight home improvement afterwards including patching up the door frame that Maisy chewed in her first week with us…
So the photo this/last week is a sunset, it was quite beautiful. We’ve had a few pretty ones lately and we’ve had strange weather again. Our sofa and other furniture was outside in the brilliant sunshine yesterday morning when a blizzard of snow appeared out of nowhere! (No time for photos though!) Let’s hope this week brings some more opportunities…
