If I could choose my memories, if I could keep any number of moments it would be the care free evenings of watching the sun go down and the colours of the rivers change. It would be seeing the reflection of a single swan, framed in a halo of golden sunlight as the last rays of Summer gracefully dip across the horizon. That’s the kind of thing I would store, for when the time comes that I can no longer find these moments for myself and can only rely on my photographic memory to conjour what I once witnessed for real.

I finally got some of the Autumn captures that I’ve been hoping to get for a while. With the internet up and running comes my ability to share said photos a bit more as the upload speeds are incredible! First, we headed to the meadow with Buddy so that he didn’t feel too homesick (he’s been with us almost two weeks and we walk him locally). It was transformed…

The recent rain and wind had stripped everything back and sadly we were a little too late for the carpet of Autumn leaves. However there were a few of the beautiful Autumnal colours that we’re lucky to have at this time of year.

5 6 7It was pretty nice to be there again after having been so busy and not having the time to enjoy the peacefulness – the sound of the river and the beautiful reflections in the lakes.

On the way home we passed a new Autumn driveway. Those who have been following my blog since 2012 will know that I love photographing a specific Autumn driveway near where I live. Well there’s another one now!

This one is equally (if not more – sorry regular driveway!) beautiful and it was stunning in the sunlight when we passed today. Queue the car being reversed hurriedly courtesy of William and me hanging out the window to take some quick snaps.
