“The challenge is what makes the success worthwhile.”

Day 365… I cannot believe that this challenge has managed to continue through all of the excitement and changes that 2014 has delivered. But it’s done! I did this challenge once before, in 2012, and decided that a years break was enough before launching myself into it again. I would say that it has been tougher this year, but the last few months have flown by and it has become much easier to blog daily. I’ve moved from a desktop computer to a macbook pro (not for the purposes of blogging! But for the purposes of wedding photography editing) and the transition has been smoother than I expected. I never thought I would be blogging without a ‘real’ computer!
2014 has seen a lot of change, new jobs, new house (first house!), new degree, new camera, new friends and even a new doggy addition to the family. There have been ups (like choosing new furniture) and downs (like waiting for the mortgage offer to come in!) There have been positives – like gaining a fantastic new job role. Places have been visited, people have been snapped, landscapes have been captured, food has been photographed… I may well have photographed practically everything in sight the past 365 days!
Followers have followed… I’ve topped 1,000 of you lovely people now and you’re all following this blog for some reason or another – the support has been amazing. Comments, likes, emails e.t.c they have all been appreciated.
What’s next for me? Next year is -full- of Weddings. Chocka! 2015 is the year of more friends and family weddings than anything else! One week we’re running from one Wedding in Cornwall to another in the Lake District, timings will be interesting! The blog will continue and I’m going to undertake the 52 week photography challenge… one blog entry a week summarising the photo or photos I’ve managed to take. That should keep it ticking over nicely!
The last photograph of 2014 is hopefully, a poignant one. I love this quote and have wanted to share it but with a nice photographic style for some time. It’s not an amazing landscape, it’s not a cute fluffy animal or a pretty flower. Instead it’s words to live by…
So all that’s left is to wish you all a very Happy 2015 – I hope that the next year brings you everything you wish for, and more. Through the ups and the downs just remember that at the end of it all, another year will have passed and another bunch of challenges conquered.
“For last year’s words belong to last year’s language
And next year’s words await another voice.”
