January is an awkward month at the best of times. I started mine not feeling too good and actually, it took until the 1st February, to really feel like a new year had started and I was almost 90% better. To welcome the sunshine (and the breeze!) we did what we do best – headed out with the cameras and explore the first signs of Spring.


I never really appreciated it until now especially when this time last year we had snow, but February is one great big month of signs of Spring – much needed after what feels like an endless Winter. I know meteorlogically speaking it’s still Winter, but there’s hope especially with the amounts of snowdrops lining the banks!




As always, a firm favourite is The Bunny – a peaceful haven of rushing water, sunshine, and the hint of a Spring breeze. I love this place and I try and capture it most times of the year for a comparison of seasons.



And here’s a rare photo of the lesser spotted photographers. Can never resist a sunset, even if it is behind us!

First meadow trip of the year – and first time getting the proper camera out in absolutely ages… my focus lately has been uni and books and uni…mainly uni… and work! Third and final year of uni is here which means that hopefully in around seven months I’ll be able to get back to photography a little more. However one of my new years resolutions wasn’t to wait that long… So here we go…
