Day 294: Lanterns and Thistles

It all seems fairly quiet on the wordpress front! My post from yesterday reposted itself this morning as I queued it wrong, subsequently though, it has barely been noticed! It seems that macro is the least favourable of the genres I photograph! So I tried less harder today – and focused on some beautiful cut flowers!

The Photos don’t do them justice really, it was quite badly lit inside and grey outside, but at least it’s something towards the photo a day challenge!

And that’s it for today, a rather Rainy and cold Friday! I hope to get out and about at the weekend for some Autumnal shots at least – the weather is set to improve a little. Happy Weekend!

Day 272: Forlorn Friday

The weather has been absolutely awful today with rain, rain, more rain and lots of wind – and to top it all off the work computers went down right when I had mountains of things to do. So my photos match my mood. Rubbish, dull and more rubbish!

I was at a bit of a loss as to what I could shoot today. I eyed up the pears. They stared back at me. Eventually I won, and I shot them on the table! So viscous. I added in some grapes too but they didn’t want to play my game and ended up rolling away.

Then I shot the flowers that have been vibrant and pretty for weeks (I blogged them on the Garden Inn Day) and decided that they needed to look dark and dreary too. So I manipulated the filters a little. And there we have it, a half hearted mood matching attempt at day. In other news, I’m really looking forward to tomorrow – Autumn clothes shopping and then Italian night at the local pub with the girlies.
