February

January is an awkward month at the best of times. I started mine not feeling too good and actually, it took until the 1st February, to really feel like a new year had started and I was almost 90% better. To welcome the sunshine (and the breeze!) we did what we do best – headed out with the cameras and explore the first signs of Spring.

I never really appreciated it until now especially when this time last year we had snow, but February is one great big month of signs of Spring – much needed after what feels like an endless Winter. I know meteorlogically speaking it’s still Winter, but there’s hope especially with the amounts of snowdrops lining the banks!




As always, a firm favourite is The Bunny – a peaceful haven of rushing water, sunshine, and the hint of a Spring breeze. I love this place and I try and capture it most times of the year for a comparison of seasons.

Sunlight – the world’s most precious gold

Today was one of those days just like old times. The days when all that mattered was grabbing the Camera and rushing out to the nearest high vantage point to capture the performance of the sky. I didn’t quite make it in time….but then there was another performance from the birds which made it all the more worth it!
