“There is something incredibly nostalgic and significant about the annual cascade of autumn leaves.”
― Joe L. Wheeler
This weekend the weather offered a bit of sunshine, a lot of warm, a splatter of rain, and then a chill to round off Sunday. So in the bit of warm time, we ventured out with Buddy to a local hill fort so that he could have a bit of a run and stretch his legs someplace new.
And he did! Buddy hasn’t ever had the chance to make friends with other dogs – not really. He and Star got on well but she was too old to keep up with his antics – and so when we walk him somewhere public away from the solitary luxury of the meadow – he loves it to bits!

Danebury has some great views, and the fields having just been cut (or whatever the technical term is) were complimented perfectly by the summer glow – with a definite hint of Autumn in the air.

On the way home, we stopped by my favourite Autumn place to see how the leaves are getting on. It’s not quite ready yet, but a few more weeks should have it perfect for photos!
