“To buy a cake… to howl at the moon… to know true happiness… I am happy.”

Today’s recipe is an Appple Cinnamon Loaf courtesy of a slightly adapted Mary Berry recipe that I found online this morning. What better way to spend the morning before going to the dentist, by baking sugary goodness cakes! So if you’re interested, here’s the recipe below..

Ingredients:
200g Self Raising Flour
75g Butter
100g Light Brown Sugar
1 Teaspoon ground cinnamon
4 Apples (Peeled, cored and sliced)
3 eggs (beaten)
Method:
Grease two loaf tins (or buy the awesome ones from Homebase that I mentioned the other day. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees c and get stuck in!
Place the flour and butter in a bowl and rub together until they resemble fine breadcrumbs. Then stir in the sugar and cinnamon.
Mix the apples in and add the eggs, beat until all ingredients are combined. Split your mixture between two loaf tins, be sure not to overfill them!
Bake in the oven for around 30 – 45 minutes until they have risen and are golden. Enjoy warm (because that’s the best way to have cake!)
