We spent Halloween in Salisbury, a local town that my Grandma has been wanting to go back to for ages and today we fulfilled that wish! Much shopping commenced (Christmas shopping!) Then once we’d deposited her safely back home to go and visit my Grandad, we ventured up to a local Hill Fort with a picnic and the dog.

Amongst the quiet and beautiful views, we were treated to a gorgeous display from a Barn Owl who decided to drop by. It was stunning and the photos don’t do it justic, but it’s a start!

The colours today have been absolutely beautiful and we were not disappointed! I also have some photographs to share from a recent visit to Savernake Forest but I’ll do another blog post shortly.

When we got home we hastily carved pumpkins ready for the trick or treaters that have already been on the doorstep peering into the sweetie cauldron… muwahahhahaa.

A week off of work awaits us and we’re going to venture out as much as possible to capture the last few signs of Autumn. Just need the properly Autumnal weather to roll in and then we’re all set!

Unlike most of the Northern parts of the country, we haven’t had snow. But we’ve had the cold temperatures and the clouds rolling in – it just hasn’t unfortunately come to anything! This time last year we were just starting the deluge of floods so we’re quite grateful that it is just cold and a little windy at the moment.1 2
