Today it definitely felt like November. Although Autumn continues until December, Winter has already seemed to set in. Astronomically, Winter is set to begin on the 21st of December which is the Winter Solstice, but Meteorologists start it on the 1st of December. Either way, it’s happening now!

So armed with the camera, I decided it was a great moment to capture the last of the Autumn leaves on the huge Beech Tree that we have at the top of the garden. A brilliant blue sky, which is rare these days, framed everything perfectly.

 

Tonight is the local town’s firework display as the 5th of November known as Bonfire Night here in the UK – approaches. (Also known as my Mothers Birthday!) So I’ll be wrapping up warm and heading off to that for hopefully some more photos.

The time this year – has literally flown by. It’s June already and Summer (although making some lackluster appearances) has given up on England. It’s not a surprise, we’re famed for the wet miserable weather (apparently) but it’s still a bit of a disappointment when you’re supposed to be waking up to sunshine and hot temperatures and instead you’re reaching for warm coats and brollys!

So I did the only natural thing one can do in such adverse weather – grabbed the macro lens and stalked some raindrops. I tried to vary it a bit this time, I promise. But when your day is full up with things to do pretty much until sunset you have to make the most of what’s in front of you at the time! Plus, it’s still a photo from today…!

A slightly poor attempt at blogging today – especially as whilst I’m typing Buddy is lying on the floor moaning because he knows it’s too rainy for a walk – which was where I would have got some different photos! But there’s always tomorrow. Which is forecast – rain.
