“All the water he ever saw was the ocean. He thought that was all the water there was.”
-Peter S Beagle

As you’ll see in the top image, Buddy has explored the water more than ever this weekend and it was quite amusing to watch – especially as he bared his teeth against the water as he walked along. Alas still he didn’t go much further than the very edge, but we’re working on it!

I haven’t photographed at the meadow for a few weeks – and the flowers have blossomed to provide a beautiful mixture of colour. The photo doesn’t do it justice – it looked much more vibrant without the viewfinder!

The weather has perked up again in time for the weekend and the humidity is pretty high which means that doing anything useful today has proven quite difficult! It’s taken me a good many hours to go through the photos.

That’s mostly it for today! I hope everyone is having a fantastic weekend -and thank you once again for the increase in likes, comments and follows over the past few weeks. I appreciate them all!

“I like this place and could willingly waste my time in it.”
― William Shakespeare

Today was different to any ordinary weekend. I had company for the most part which meant that losing myself for a few hours on the meadow became a lot more interesting than usual, especially when accompanied by somebody who knows things about cameras and photography!

Sadly though, photo-graphical opportunities did not present themselves as often as they could have done probably in a better season and with warmer weather. The bout of British Summertime that we have had has very quickly disappeared as it starts to cool down and become almost Autumnal with the breeze!

After a late night watching the Olympics opening Ceremony on the television it was nice to chill for the day whilst snapping away at random leaves and dead (ish) ladybirds. It started off dead and then became alive halfway through the shooting session. So if anybody says that Photography isn’t healing – they’re lying! Back to the Olympics though, and I was suitably impressed by the efforts made and taken to ensure that the opening ceremony went successfully. If you get the chance to search on youtube or check out BBC Iplayer I urge you to do so!

William, my partner in photo-graphical crime for the weekend, also allowed me to practice my portraiture work. Although I didn’t plan it all that well – rookie mistake, chopping part of somebody’s head off!

Aside from the random collection of images, the sun – when it made an appearance, was enjoyed as well as the setting on the meadow. For Day 210 it hasn’t been at all bad!!
