“To finish first you must first finish.”
– Mears –

The great thing about having an unwritten bucket list, is that you can add things to it that you’ve already done! That counts too right? I never ever dreamed that I would find myself flying in a helicopter above the town that I live in, watching a British Touring Car Championship…but you know what? It did happen!

I’m quite wary of high things, high staircases, high hills, cliffs…and in the hour that I had from deciding to fly, to actually doing it, all sorts of thoughts were flying through my mind. But I think having less time to worry and more time to get the camera ready helped a fair bit.

For my boyfriends Birthday, I’ve been planning four weekends of ‘awesome things.’ Watching the championship at Thruxton was the first. We could teasingly hear the qualifying from my house, the day before – and on the actual day the weather was perfect (sunburningly so). So all elements came together to make it an absolutely amazing day. I also appreciate now, how hard it is to capture sports photography. I’ve come home to around 1000 of my shots JUST missing the car I was aiming at….!

Today I spent most of my working day providing support to one of my clients whilst also attending Choices Hire Services open day! It gave me the chance to get some fantastic shots (even if I do say so myself) whilst I was working. So a great all rounder day really!

The open day was really well attended. People came from quite far to see the set up, eat cake, drink coffee and generally just mill around. Lots of people liked the cake! The themeing, vintage set up, black jack set up and everything else looked very amazing too.

We had a spare few moments to build a team photo, literally. They used a warehouse ladder to create the effect, and actually, until a tractor came along and everyone got off pretty quick, it worked out fairly well!

And the weather didn’t disappoint! By the time the carnival prince and princess arrived, the sun was high in the sky and although it was cold, it was beautiful. Everything came together nicely and a wonderful day was had by all! Check out http://choiceshire.com to find out what it was all about!
