“A river seems a magic thing. A magic, moving, living part of the very earth itself.”
― Laura Gilpin

Earlier this week Buddy ventured out with us to a different river so that he could have a paddle and explore. He wasn’t so keen on paddling though! The scenery was lovely although not quite as Orange and Autumnal as it was this time last year (if anyone remembers the Buddy shots of him on a bench in a pile of leaves!)

Still it was beautiful and I got some nice captures, which I was fairly pleased with. Another revisit in a week or so’s time should mean it looks a bit more like it should at this time of year.

“It was one of those perfect English autumnal days which occur more frequently in memory than in life.”

~P.D. James

The comments received on yesterday’s blog were heart-warming. I had the same on facebook, and elsewhere on deviantART – and there were lots of messages of love and support in the real world too. So it’s time to move forward with a positive blog after visiting the meadow (Star’s favourite place!) with the camera.

It was one of those perfect English Autumnal Days…early Autumn anyway. The leaves were baked orange in the last glow of the evening sun, everything was glowing and beautiful – and the weather was perfect since it’s still a bit too warm for September.

Enjoy some peaceful photos, a bit of English relaxation tucked away from the busy-ness of everyday life and the ups and downs. Autumn is definitely in the air and I shall be venturing out more and more over the coming month – especially as I very soon have a glorious week off work!
