“Elections belong to the people. It’s their decision. If they decide to turn their back on the fire and burn their behinds, then they will just have to sit on their blisters.”

7th May – voting day. And aside from voting I mostly spent it working and then playing with the dogs in the garden. Buddy came to visit for a while and did some pro posing, something he never used to do for me! The flowers are all in bloom and the garden is starting to look wonderful…

We then hit Sandbanks, full of the most beautiful sea-view houses that I’ve ever seen. The stuff dreams are made of! I would absolutely love to wake up to the waves every morning.

The beaches were beautiful and not too busy for the weather and time of year, and Maisy absolutely adored her first look at the sea. She was fearless – until her ball got covered in sand and then she refused to pick it up and instead stood on it so other dogs wouldn’t steal it. We’ve got a smart one ladies and gentlemen!

Maisy thought was exhausted, not least because she found herself battling for the tennis ball each time we threw it. The amount of dogs venturing on the beach was incredible! She curled up on the back seat of the car and slept the whole way home with sand on her nose..
