With the help of my Mother, I used the brand new kitchen and brand new mixer to whip up a madeira cake (and some cupcakes with the leftover mixture!)

It’s strange baking in a new kitchen, but the delicious smells soon made up for the weirdness of it all. I reccomend the mixer – it’s amazing!
