“If you take a flower in your hand and really look at it, it’s your world for a moment.”
― Georgia O’Keeffe
I repeatedly say, but it’s very true, that my best accessory aside from my camera is the little spray bottle of water that I have handy when it just doesn’t rain enough. Lately, it has rained enough, but for those times when it needs to be a little ‘finer’ the bottle of water is perfect.
The key to any great flower photograph, is to use a window to not only lighten your subject but also add some shapes, colour and a splash board for the spray bottle! I used water both on the outside and on the inside for these shots.
The flowers are actually really nice, and so far haven’t made me sneeze too much. They’re also the colour of summer, so hopefully that means the rain will stop and we’ll get some actual sunshine one of these days!
