“Here we are, trapped in the amber of the moment. There is no why.”
― Kurt Vonnegut
This morning, before a day of hectic work began, I took thirty minutes for myself. Selfish? Perhaps – but when do we actually take time for ‘us’? On not enough occasions that’s for sure.
In my thirty minutes I saw 8 Deer sprint across a frosty field and vault a five foot hedge. I watched a whole army (not the technical word I know) of trout jumping above freezing water. I saw the sun rise and slowly burn away the beautiful golden mist around it.
I looked at the clock. But only once.
I also wrote this, looking out across a view that I’ve come to realise I am so lucky to have access to. It sounds quite strange, but in that exact moment the most insane thought crept into my mind and hit me with the blinding sunlight.
I want to be a Photographer.
