Late this afternoon provided the opportunity to head into the fields behind the house and grab some snowy sunset shots – wading through a field deep with snow in the freezing cold for a short while actually paid off too…
Snow provides such a fantastic accompaniment to exquisite sunsets – the colours were amazing. But it was the reflections and the way the sunlight bounced off of the white fields that really helped the shots.
Clouds helped too, the only bit of blue sky I’ve seen for a few days appeared just before the sun came down, providing a great relief from the bright white of the clouds and mist we’ve had to endure the last little while.

Great set of pictures.
Everything about these pictures is beautiful! You portray winter and the sky so well, and the last picture leaves one feeling delicate.
The third one down, they look like people in the hedge, getting ready to race or to ski or to plunge into water like the Polar Bear Swimmers! I really like this set of images ty!
