“Everybody needs a little rain…”
~Randy Crawford
9am this morning saw the heaviest rainfall across twenty four hours, that had been recorded since 1979. According to a local weather expert, 37.8mm of rain had fallen across the night and into this morning. It’s a lot. Driving through the town and villages, there is quite obviously a lot of surface water around and the rivers are stretching at their banks with some already having breached them.
It makes a change at a time when usually we are just saying goodbye to the last of a pre-christmas snowfall. The rain seems set to continue, so wherever you are – if the weather is bad – take extreme care! The title today comes from a book I was reading, the heavens opened (outside) right at the point that the song was mentioned in the book, so it seemed apt to have it inspire today’s photos.
But just a drop would do. Who did the rain dance, it wasn`t me!!!!!
Very stunning photos.
Thank you Kris! :)
