“I’ve always liked the time before dawn because there’s no one around to remind me who I’m supposed to be so it’s easier to remember who I am.”
― Brian Andreas,
I relied entirely on my mobile phone for today’s pictures, something that I haven’t done since beginning the ‘photo a day’ challenge. I recently upgraded to an iPhone, so yes – I’ve joined the instagram band wagon!
It was incredibly cold, and as I was taking shots of icy windows and roads, I realised that along with the seasons my Photography has come full circle. I started off at the beginning, taking a few shots on my phone along with my camera as well – of icy windows and minus temperatures. And now I’m back there again, in the final days of the blogging!
As I drove to work, it felt like it had snowed overnight. The roads were clear, thanks to the gritters last night, but the trees and the hills were covered in white – it was beautiful. However, the queues were not so beautiful – the amount of broken down vehicles was incredible. Nevertheless it gave ample opportunity to take some photos – queues were my life saver today!
I had to stop to let a bunch of partridges cross the road (I’m sure there’s a joke in there somewhere…)
So the verdict of the iphone? I miss being able to zoom in (unless the function is there and I’ve not found it) – I like the effects of instagram and think that those who turn their nose up at it are missing out a little, but it’s never going to replace my normal photo taking habits, rest assured!
Great iPhone shots. Don’t bother to zoom as it doesn’t do a good job. Love the window shot
Thank you!!!!
