“I cook with wine, sometimes I even add it to the food.”

It’s been a while since I did a food related post, so I thought I’d share a recipe (that I stole) complete with illustrations too! I’ve been looking at ways to make tasty meals – but without shop bought sauces. The diet coke chicken recipe went down well a while ago that I found on a forum and now I’m replacing the coke with zero fanta!
I also discovered Tesco’s own brand Orange Zero – which is about £2 less than Orange Fanta and tastes identical – seriously. So as well as a tasty meal discovery today, there was also that! Orange Chicken tastes a lot like sweet and sour chicken, serve it up with some fluffy white rice et voila, perfect meal.
- Peppers
- Carrots
- Mushrooms
- Onion
- Diced Chicken Breast
- 1 Can of Orange Zero
- Frylight
- 1 teaspoon of tandoori spices
- Rice
Basically cook up your chick in the frylight, add the tandoori spice, chuck in the vegetables and when all has had a chance to cook up and infuse together add the Orange drink and allow reduce down into a ‘sticky chicken’ type consistency. Put the rice on and twenty minutes later your meal is ready! Add more or less liquid as required.
