“I would rather sit on a pumpkin, and have it all to myself, than be crowded on a velvet cushion.”
― Henry David Thoreau
Today we went to a Pumpkin Festival! Although there were not many Pumpkins it seemed. There were a fair few scarecrows though! Quite a few were doing their job too by scaring little children as they walked past.
The Photo opportunities presented themselves quite well and it was refreshing to see a celebration of Autumn, generally as a nation, we don’t bother with marking it in comparison to Americans. I feel like the photos are quite half hearted though – I’m tired!
Autumn is well and truly here though in the colour of the trees and the chill that was on the air today. Winter was here too with the hail stone showers and pouring rain that attacked in bursts throughout the day.
Now it’s time to curl up by the fire with a good book and do little else for the rest of the weekend!
