The garden is becoming quite the focal point for the daily Photographs at the moment. It’s changing practically on an hourly basis – just like the weather. The storms from the other day have eased but it can’t be completely sunny or completely rainy, it has to mix between the two!

So I played around with the Macro lens and some filters, capturing the flowers that just a few days ago were open and alive – but are now closing up and shutting down. I don’t blame them, the weather is awful!

It’s almost dark outside and soon there will be less and less time to get outdoorsy shots. I’m working on still life ideas to get me through the winter. I’m really hoping the challenge doesn’t falter with just a few months left to go!

On the topic of fences, I have to accompany Buddy into the garden each time he wants to go out at the moment as we are currently having our garden fence replaced. Behind it is quite a popular footpath and then a wooded area, which Buddy likes to walk along by himself.

So heading into the garden with him this morning, it seemed natural to take the camera (no, not to photograph him doing his business) but rather to capture the sunlight on the leaves and hunt out the occasional spider.

I also did take a shot of Buddy, which turned out horribly wrong because of the lighting and flare and so on – so I tried to make the best of a bad situation and spruce him up a bit…who knows if it worked!

On the subject of Buddy – he has got quite famous and has his very own Calendar for 2013. If anybody is interested in purchasing one they are £10 each and include a shots of Buddy from across the year – you won’t be disappointed!
