“If you tell a joke in the forest, but nobody laughs, was it a joke?” – Steven Wright

Today began with bits and pieces to do and then a wander through part of a local Forest. I’d never been there before and it was tucked away on a piggery (place where piggies are kept) so it was quiet and peaceful – and the weather wasn’t too bad!

Buddy loved it, although he’s quite pensive about public places now. He’s got too used to having the meadow as his own. That and I think he knows if he disappears (see yesterdays blog!) then he gets into trouble!

For a while I was hoping that Deer would make an appearance, but sadly they didn’t. The trees weren’t quite orange enough to make for Autumny backdrops yet either, but a couple more weeks and hopefully they will.

There were some interesting prints though, which I managed to get a close up shot of. Take a look below and see what you think – the obvious choice is badger…but there’s something eery about them! It could have been the fact they were taken outside some huge chicken sheds – that I swear contained Chickens marching up and down…that’s what it sounded like anyway!

“Stop seeking out the storms and enjoy more fully the sunlight.”
― Gordon B. Hinckley

I got my shots nice and early this morning before a mammoth four hour shopping trip with one of my friends. In between all that, Buddy decided to go on his own trip and ended up at the local police station, eating crisps and drinking from a saucepan. He’s a cheeky scamp!

So I headed outside whilst the sun was rising and captured the light on the grass and a few leaves here and there. It sounds like nothing special – but honestly, it was magical through the lens.

The leaf was such a simple photographic subject – but with the sun streaming behind it highlighting the colours, it was perfect. I’ve also been eying up leaves for days in the hopes that they become Autumnal enough to shoot, and they haven’t disappointed!

Other than that, not much to share on the photographic front. Tonight is Italian night at the local pub – which should be fun and possibly interesting! So I shall blog and run today!
