“Aerodynamically, the bumble bee shouldn’t be able to fly, but the bumble bee doesn’t know it so it goes on flying anyway.”
― Mary Kay Ash
It’s the weekend which, technically means more time for Photography! Unless you have a Law essay to write, which I do – so I just headed to the meadow instead and took some snaps. However I was quite pleased with the results in the end actually!
Patience pays off for both Bees and Dragonflys. Both were incredibly hard to photograph today with the high wind constantly putting up an adventurous battle of getting steady shots. Bees are extra hard because I don’t like to get close to them. I was stung last Summer down on the meadow (because we have Bee Hives there so they are much more common) and was in pain for weeks. I still have the dent in my head too!
But once steady ground was found, and the wind died down, the shots actually turned out nice and crisp. But again, like the other day, these pesky little creatures are a real pain to capture with the lens. They’re so small and thin that they become quite a blur!
Then I photographed the Duck – nesting in a tree! It’s rather strange to see actually. But she has been there for quite a while, she’s not even that far off of the ground, but far enough to be a bit safer. Smart ducky!
