“The time has come,” the walrus said, “to talk of many things: Of shoes and ships – and sealing wax – of cabbages and kings”
― Lewis Carroll
I thought that the time was right to photograph time (see what I did there?) and so I went forth and abducted the most interesting clock we have in the house and got out the macro lens once again. Yes it’s becoming a habit – not a bad one!
I actually went for a walk this morning, only a very brief short one, and I snuck Buddy out with me. But in my sneakings I completely forgot to take the camera. I know, it’s incredible. I don’t even know how it happened.
The inner workings of a clock are absolutely fascinating. To think that something so intricate, complicated and painstakingly constructed makes up the biggest thing controlling our lives from day to day is quite amazing really.
And here’s an interesting fact – clocks were invented as early as 1336…incredible! And just down the road from where I live is the Salisbury Cathedral Clock. This is claimed to be the oldest clock in the world dating from 1336….!
