“You can’t stay in your corner of the Forest waiting for others to come to you. You have to go to them sometimes.”
― A.A. Milne
I thought it was about time the wet weather was embraced rather than avoided and headed into a forest approximately forty minutes away to snap some shots. After the sunshine of yesterday evening it’s hard to believe that the weather has turned once more – but it has. Anyone watching last nights Jubilee Concert for the Queen will have seen a perfect Sunset backdrop to the later acts performing – a wonderful evening had by many it seems!
I also took a brief video to try and capture the sound – it didn’t really work! But if you are interested in having a peek then clicking on Rainy Forest should work! The Greens were so vibrant against the grey day and hopefully the video picked up on that.
For a bank holiday, the roads have been strangely quiet. I drove back through the City of Salisbury and the traffic was very light. Over the past few days it has seemed that people have either stayed in (for street parties and such) or gone off on holiday. It must be the lightest traffic bank holiday in history!
The road I was on cut through the middle of the trees and there wasn’t a single car during the time I was there. It was completely and utterly peaceful being able to hear the rainfall and not much else.
On another note – I can’t believe it’s been 156 days since I started this challenge! I just wanted to say thank you once again for all the comments, feedback and support! I really appreciate it.
Really beautiful shots – the rain brings out the colors of nature and makes them so vibrant!
I love green! These are so beautiful.
I love when everything is green. It’s so bright and alive. Beautiful pictures!
