“Very gently. Like there are eggshells on your pedals, and you don’t want to break them. That’s how you drive in the rain.”
― Garth Stein
Today it rained. Are you surprised? I hope not by now! I think the biggest frustration is not with the rainfall but that some people are having to wade through floodwater and yet we’re still apparently in drought. I understand how it works, but on the surface it’s a pretty ironic occurrence.
So once again, raindrops on flowers becomes the feature of todays blog! Fear not though, these are different flowers once again. If anyone wants to put a name to them – be my guest. I’m terrible at that sort of thing.
I attempted some experimenting with a Macro lens although I’m still getting used to the whole manual focus aspect of it all. When I do, these droplets will be SHARP! The quote today came from a book I’ve stumbled across The Art of Racing in the Rain. I absolutely adore some of the quotes I’ve found from it and have hunted down the actual book to have a read. It reminds me of my blog and the intention behind being free with Photography and undertaking the 365 challenge with the Art of Letting Go. I might just be starting to master it…
Well done to you for getting out there and taking photos outdoors….I’m at the end of my tether with this weather…hey it rhymes!! :)
Beautiful images! You can certainly send some rain across the pond to southern Arizona. We’ll take it. Take care if you’re in an area that’s flooding. Be well and stay blessed.
I can’t understand how, with so much flooding we are still on a hosepipe ban. Seems crazy to me. Lovely photos
Your raindrop photos are quite nice. Isn’t it fun (and frustrating) to learn new things bout the camera. There is still so much I don’t know but every session, I learn more.
I’d love to get a photo of a drop reflecting something amazing.
Lovely pictures really…I am gonna tweet this :-)
