Today has been the first week day in a long while that I’ve not turned on my work Blackberry and started another work day. It feels good! The last bank holidays were at Christmas so I’m determined to make the most of this four day weekend and treat it like a mini holiday! I woke up extra early, which seems to always be the way with days that I don’t need to wake up and started the day with all manner of good intentions. I planned to head out with the camera on a random photography trip. However my Father persuaded me on a trip down to Southampton to IKEA. Joy! I wasn’t going to give up the opportunity to get some photos though…
It’s another of those beautifully sunny days. There’s a definite chill in the air but that hasn’t stopped it feeling Springlike! The Bank Holiday feeling was catching with many caravans and camper vans making their way down to the coast for a few days of relaxation. Or they thought they were. A three car crash was blocking the motorway which caused miles and miles of queues – should have stayed home people!
Although the shots from today aren’t that varied, they give a general feel of the weather and the ‘Springness’ plus after yesterdays cookies it was nice to get something different that involved being outdoors rather than searching the house for various things to snap.
As it’s Good Friday it’s not really early to wish everybody a Happy Easter – I did try searching the shops for some of those little fluffy chickens to photograph but sadly nowhere seems to stock them these days. So Easter Sunday might not be related to Easter at all which is a shame – but I’ll do my best!
