“The house smelled musty and damp, and a little sweet, as if it were haunted by the ghosts of long-dead cookies.”

― Neil Gaiman

I believe very strongly in my ‘zoom’ lens. There’s probably a technical name for it – but I’m not sure exactly what it is. Rather than take pictures of people up close with a portrait lens – or of objects up close with a macro lens – I find that distance works best. I use a 70 – 300 mm lens for most of the shots that I take that involve close up or portraiture, and I’m probably breaking every rule in the book by being proud of them but who cares!

It actually works out cheaper than it would have been to get all the ingredients to make the things – so I thought why not?! Although nothing beats home made ;) And I haven’t done a sunset for a while but I managed to catch the tail end of one this evening – enjoy!
