“The house smelled musty and damp, and a little sweet, as if it were haunted by the ghosts of long-dead cookies.”

― Neil Gaiman

I have to say that Jen inspired this whole complete total blog with her awesome cookie uploading yesterday! She baked some amazing looking Orange Chocolate Chip Cookies so I asked her for the recipe which she kindly donated and then headed straight to the shops for some ingredients.

I believe very strongly in my ‘zoom’ lens. There’s probably a technical name for it – but I’m not sure exactly what it is. Rather than take pictures of people up close with a portrait lens – or of objects up close with a macro lens – I find that distance works best. I use a 70 – 300 mm lens for most of the shots that I take that involve close up or portraiture, and I’m probably breaking every rule in the book by being proud of them but who cares!

They tasted amazing by the way – everyone thought so! By everyone I mean my sister and I – we skipped breakfast and tried cookies instead!

If anyone want’s the recipe – well – here it is It’s very complicated and I only really recommend it if you have the skills to read and understand and nurture every ingredient that goes into it.

I know right? Completely shocking. But it’s true, I can’t really bake to save my life, and I knew this when I got to the shops. So instead I found this very cheap awesome box of cookie mix in the freezer section. It actually works out cheaper than it would have been to get all the ingredients to make the things – so I thought why not?! Although nothing beats home made ;) And I haven’t done a sunset for a while but I managed to catch the tail end of one this evening – enjoy!
